Incredible for skiers of all ages and all stages, Courchevel is easy, accessible and also completely stunning. An excellent selection of beginner and nursery slopes with a host of instructors and ski schools should tuition be on the cards.  The resort has 4 settlements all with their own personalities. Courchevel 1850 is known for the best skiing due to its altitude, shopping and nightlife while Courchevel 1650 is a more traditional and slightly less expensive settlement. Courchevel 1550 is quieter with a mixture of accommodation styles, and Courchevel 1300 is an authentic traditional village full of alpine character. We wouldn’t blame you if you were finding hard to narrow down your choice, but you can be put at ease with the knowledge that all the settlements are close to each other, and incredibly well connected by a regularly running shuttle bus. 

Courchevel is a traditional mountain chalet resort, with large and impressive chalet-hotel structures found in every direction. The architecture is predominately structured from alpine woods and stone to provide a picture-perfect postcard, especially when dusted with a fresh layer of snow. 

The connection of the 4 settlements tends to leave visitors spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, eateries and bars. For all those wanting the ultimate apres-ski experience, Courchevel is conveniently connected to the famous “Follie Douce, Meribel” for your dancing-on-table and champagne shower fix!

Non-skiing activities

Courchevel is not just a great location for the skiers and snowboarders….

The active amongst you will be able to take full advantage of the Olympic ice rink, bowling alley, small gym, and climbing wall at the Forum. Horse drawn carriage rides, forest walks, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, ice-karting are all possible activities to organise. Unleash the inner child within, and get yourselves on the infamous toboggan run all the way to Courchevel 1550. 

Play in the clouds and relish a view of a lifetime via altiport, a hot air balloon ride or para-gliding. If you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground, then numerous restaurants provide incredible mountain views and are accessible via road or gondola. Alternatively, take the mountain cuisine home with you by organise a cooking lesson with the incredible alpine chefs, then fill your bags with goodies from the farmers’ market in the resort on Wednesdays. 

Special events are also hosted in Courchevel, including the international Pyrotechnic festival, where you will witness a breath-taking fireworks display. Several ski-jumping competitions are also held at the Olympic ski jump in Le Praz.
