Within the glitzy and elegant resort of Courchevel, Chalet Montana is nicknamed ‘The Chocolate Box’ – a haven of coziness and a real hidden treasure. The five bedroom chalet sleeps ten comfortably, with space for an extra two children, and guests feel immediately at home in this comforting and cosy mountain retreat. The chalet has a super location right by the Bellecote piste, and while the atmosphere is more quintessentially Alpine than other modern apartments, the facilities certainly aren’t lacking: there’s a cinema room, hot tub and steam room combining the finest luxury with old-school mountain charm.

Decor
The traditional building of Chalet Montana is constructed from reclaimed ancient timber and natural stone, and it’s a picture-perfect Alpine home that belongs on a postcard. Inside, the combined living and dining areas are split-level and feature a huge open fire – with deep sofas, open fireplaces and a large dining table for cosy evenings en famille. A spacious south-facing balcony with sun loungers leads off the living room, giving fabulous views. Throughout the charming building, hand-painted frescoes of mountain scenes enhance the atmosphere.

Location
Chalet Montana’s fantastic position on the slope of the Bellecote piste means you can be on the runs in seconds, and can ski down in the centre at La Croisette before you know it.
Après ski and dining
Enjoy a hearty breakfast cooked every day before hitting the slopes, as well as afternoon tea and cakes to come back to as you ski up to the front door. On five out of seven evenings, you’ll be treated to canapes and pre-dinner cocktails, followed by a delicious four course dinner with selected wines will be served at the large dining table. You’ll also have all-inclusive drinks throughout your stay at the bar or mini bar – from a selection of wines, Drappier Champagne, local beer, premium spirits and mixers, soft drinks.

One of the bedrooms features trundle beds making an ideal family or kids room.
Spa and wellness
The chalet’s mini wellness area is a hidden delight within the quaint ancient timbers and cosy rooms of the building – it has a steam room hammam, monsoon shower, and a sunken indoor jacuzzi – complete with a plasma TV to watch while you soak. There’s also a massage Room, where therapists can come and knead out the nots as you begin to unwind. Pad around the house in slippers and bathrobes, and make the most of Aromatherapy Associates products.
