St Anton Info

St Anton is the undisputed skiing capital of Austria, a buzzing Alpine town as famous for it’s apres-ski as for its first class slopes and off-piste skiing. With a stunning selection of chalets and luxury hotels, the area has excellent nightlife and a prime location in the Austrian mountains. The fun and vibrant town is made for those who want to ski hard and party hard, and is especially popular with advanced skiers. Despite being less famous than its French counterparts, it was in St Anton that the downhill skiing technique was pioneered by Hannes Schneider nearly one hundred years ago, and the area has kept its reputation ever since.

The town offers excellent access to the Arlberg ski area, where you’ll find more than 340km of groomed pistes in three interconnecting ski areas. St Anton has excellent off-piste powder, marked routes & challenging terrain, as well as a deep and reliable snowfall throughout the season. The ski resorts of Zürs, Lech, Warth Schroecken & Zug are all covered by the same lift ticket as St Anton, for those who wish to venture further.

For the rest of the year, St. Anton am Arlberg and the neighbouring villages Pettneu am Arlberg, Schnann, Flirsch and Strengen attract visitors and families with stunning scenery and outdoor pursuits. When the first snow falls in winter, however, it’s transformed into party central, with world famous après spots like Mooserwirt and nightclubs come alive. Located a short drive from the airport, St. Anton has everything you need to enjoy a luxury ski holiday.
