La Tania Resort Info

La Tania was built in 1992 to host the athletes competing in the Albertville Olympics. The resort is situated within the centre of the Three Vallees. It’s a small village hidden away amongst the biggest resort in the world, with a collection of houses which most are ski in ski out or close to the slopes.

La Tania has a lot to offer with amazing skiing to be done. The main gondola from La Tania gives you easy access to Méribel, Courchevel and the rest of the Three Vallees. Finishing off your down skiing back down through tree-lined pistes down to your ski in ski out Chalet or the centre of the village.

Apart from skiing, the resort has enough to make it a memorable holiday. Whether you are travelling as a family, alone or as a couple you will find many wonderful restaurants, bars, shops and more to take care of your every need.

A British-owned establishment, the Taiga sits just outside the village opposite the bus stop but is worth a visit. The upstairs restaurant offers some tasty food at decent prices and the service is good. The bar area downstairs is popular for the live music.

The Slodge, as it’s known, is the main bar and social hub of La Tania, where you will get pub grub at decent prices either inside or on the large terrace. All the live sports events are shown here on satellite TV and there’s regular live music.

New to La Tania and situated next to the piste in the village, Bistrot Machet serves local Savoie style food with homemade charcuterie and house terrine.

Serving French gastronomic cuisine and awarded a Michelin Star in 2005, this is one of the more upmarket restaurants in the valley.  At lunchtime there’s a good value 3-course menu and in the evening a tasting menu allows you to sample lots of small, delicate dishes created by the innovative chef.
