About the villa

High in the hills of Douro, with panoramic views of sun-soaked vineyards and silvered olive groves, this bright and airy villa basks on the boundary of a tiny hamlet, where the nearest thing to ‘rush hour’ is the morning arrival of the bakery van. Converted and extended from an old school house, the villa now has a very contemporary feel, with spacious bedrooms, stylish bathrooms and a sleek white kitchen, air conditioning, WiFi and modern appliances. Lawned gardens encircle the house and its private swimming pool, with loungers and parasols, an al fresco dining area, and poolside snooker room. 
Social space within the house is an open-plan living /dining room, divided by a fireplace and furnished with flair. With satellite TV and a music system both here and in the games room, there are TV’s in the bedrooms too; two at ground level and two on the upper floor, each with a terrace or balcony facing those blissful views. Continental breakfast is served each morning, extra cook service can be arranged locally, and Pinhão is 8km away, with a river marina, shops, bars and restaurants, and the steam train station for the scenic trip to Foz Tua.

Please note that smoking is not permitted inside this property. Please note that a deposit of 30% is required for this property. Please note that the owner provides a basic welcome pack for this property which differs from the CV Welcome Pack. Full information will be provided in your joining instructions or is available on request. Please note that up to 3 additional guests can be accommodated at the property sleeping on a double sofa bed and fold out bed for £40 per night for rentals of up to 6 nights, £375 per person per week.

Minimum 1 week rental during July & August with Saturday changeover preferred; minimum 3-night rentals accepted other periods.
