The lowdown

Avenue lodge is a beautifully furnished 5* hotel in the heart of Val D’isére village. Just a short walk away from the slopes, and neighbouring some of the most popular bars and shops in town, Avenue lodge has everything you need for a wonderful skiing break. The hotel boasts 54 rooms and suites, some with balcony views over-looking the village, and some even with their own private saunas for the ultimate relaxation experience. The hotel’s restaurant provides a delicious buffet style breakfast as well as room service option. Furthermore, traditional French cuisine in served for dinner in the evening. Throughout the day and evening, you can relax in the lounge bar and have a warming drink, glass of wine or delicious cocktail, as well as a small selection of snacks available throughout the day. The hotel also has an extremely well-equipped spa and wellness area, with an indoor swimming pool, two saunas, hammam, two Jacuzzi’s and small fitness room. Massages and beauty treatments are also available to book, to provide the ultimate body and mind wind-down.

Decor

Traditional Tarentaise regional style combining local raw materials and refined furnishings. Jean Philippe Nuel has placed his unique mark on the hotel and each of its rooms, uniting harmony in its colours and furnishings. With the surrounding mountains kept in mind; the spacious rooms have a fashionable atmosphere with amenities selected among the most innovative products.

All 54 rooms and suites come with bathrobes, TVs with cable or satellite programmes, a hairdryer, internet connection, a mini bar and fridge, and finally tea and coffee making facilities. All floors are lift accessible, and A2 rooms are available for reduced mobility requirements, please enquire on booking. 

The standard room

The standard room are 25m2 and suitable to sleep 2 people in a large king-sized bed. The rooms are equipped with a stylish bathroom, including a bathtub. It is also possible to request a standard room with a balcony view of the village.

The classic room

The classic rooms are 25-30m2, and suitable to sleep 2 people (3 on request). They are equipped with a king-sized bed and a spacious bathroom with bathtub. It is also possible to request a classic room with balcony over-looking the village, and a sauna for the ultimate private relaxation experience. 

The superior room

The superior rooms are 30-35m2 and suitable for 2 people (3 on request via sofa-bed). They are generously spacious and equipped with a king-sized bed, a bathroom with bathtub, and a separate shower room.  

The junior suite

The junior suite rooms are 35-40m2, and sleep a maximum of 3 people. They are equipped with a king-sized bed, bathroom with bathtub and separate shower room. They also have a balcony overlooking the village, and the ability to request a private sauna for the ultimate relaxation experience. 

The suite room

The suite rooms are 40-45m2 and sleep a maximum of 4 people. They are equipped with a king-sized master bed, comfortable sofa bed, bathroom with bathtub, and separate shower room. They also have a balcony will a beautiful view of the village and mountains. 

The Suite duplex room 

The suite duplex rooms are 40-45m2 and suitable for 4 people. They are equipped with a king-sized bed, sofa-bed, bathroom with bathtub, and separate shower room. They also have a balcony with a beautiful view of the village and mountains.

For breakfast, a full buffet option is served in hotel restaurant where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of a fresh Val D’isére morning. Alternatively, a continental breakfast is available to have in the comfort of your own room.

The lounge bar is warm and welcoming for an afternoon break where local pastries are served, or join later in the evening for a glass of wine and cocktails. A small snack menu is also available from the lounge bar throughout the day. The lounge bar atmosphere is the perfect place to gather as a group or family before or after dinner, before returning to your rooms to rest for the next day of mountain activities.

Other après options include visiting the many bars in town, where live music of different styles can be found. The hotel team would be happy to advise on the best locations depending on your preferences. 

For dinner, the hotel invites you to join them at the restaurant where a traditional French menu is served, along with delicious regional French wine. Should you wish to venture out, there are many different restaurants available in town, from relaxed and informal dining to fine dining experiences.

The spa provides a peaceful location to unwind and soothe any aching muscles from the day on the slopes. It is open from 10:00-18:30 each day and is well equipped with an indoor swimming pool, two saunas, a hammam, and two jacuzzies, as well as a small fitness room. Beauty treatments by ‘Esthederm’, and a variety of massages are also available to book to ensure a peaceful mind and body escape.

Location: the Hotel is located in the centre of Val D’isére village 200m from ski lifts, 50m from the nearest bus stop, and 200m to the ski school meeting point and nursery slopes.

Style: The building is a traditional chalet style hotel, with Tarentaise décor. Interior designer Jean Phillip Nuel has furnished the rooms and social areas of the interior to be very much in keeping with the surrounding mountain ambience. You will find many faux-fur rugs, wall-mounted antlers, and warm inviting fire places.
