The lowdown

A spacious and modern property offering unbeatable spa facilities, Chalet Husky is a luxury chalet like no other. Large swimming pool? Tick. Hot tub and sauna? Tick. tropical indoor garden? Why on earth not! This newly built property tucked away in the ‘Petit Alaska’ area of Val d’Isère doesn’t stick to convention when it comes to Alpine chalets. As well as a spellbinding spa worthy of a 5* hotel, you’ll find an indoor climbing wall, play archery and rifle shooting, and cinema area to keep all the family entertained. In the evenings, there’s unlimited Champagne at any time, and indulgent four course dinners prepared for you by our chef and chalet team. The chalet sleeps 14 in comfort across 7 en-suite bedrooms.

Decor

Chalet Husky is anything but traditional in style. Although the outside is built in local stone and wooden beams, the interiors are all glass and colourful lighting, tasteful sheepskin rugs and statement interior design features. The open plan top floor is the piece de resistance: head from the chic sitting room and roaring fireplace, over the glass walkway suspended above the tropical indoor garden, to the stylish bar for the ultimate in-chalet après-ski. 

Rooms and Suites

Each bedroom is a style statement in its own right: there’s a leopard print one with sultry red lamps, a loosely Scandinavian one with sheepskin and wood, and a super-king master suite with terrace access and a huge candlelit bath. In each, you’ll find Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets and fluffy towel robes with slippers.

Location

Chalet Husky is tucked away in the central ‘Petit Alaska’ area of Val d’Isère, a 5 minute chauffeured minibus ride from the snow and from central Val d’Isère, and a similar distance to the Bellevarde Express lift. Val d’Isère forms part of the ‘Espace Killy’ ski area, along with Tignes, together combining to have over 300km of pistes and 90 lifts. it has a brilliant snowfall and a reputation as one of the world’s best ski resorts. 

Après ski and dining

The dining area is located on Chalet Husky’s top floor – a showstopping spot for hosting and entertaining. Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast each morning, and afternoon tea when you return from the slopes. For six of your seven evenings, you’ll drink Champagne followed by a delicious four course dinner paired with fine chateau and domaine-bottled wines. 

Children

There is possibly no chalet so well-suited to children: Chalet Husky has an indoor climbing wall, play archery and rifle shooting, and cinema area. Children’s meals can be cooked separately, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the evening. There are books, games, and a widescreen TV with Apple TV and UK TV channels available, as well as an iPad with movies for use within the chalet. There’s also access to childcare through the concierge team.

Husky’s wellness area is second-to-none, comprising a well-equipped fitness room, hot tub, sauna, hammam, and massage room where the in-house masseuses can treat your aching muscles on automatic massage tables. The pièce de résistance is the generous 32 meter squared indoor swimming pool, with its waterfall and colourful lighting.
