Chalet Le Plaigny

If you are looking for a get away from it all “back to nature” holiday but with all your home comforts then Chalet Le Plaigny is the place for you.

The property stands in a unique location between the 3rd and 4th holes on the golf course in Méribel.  This tranquil mountain hide away is in a situation like no other in the Savoie region and can be accessed by a four-wheel drive vehicle, mountain bike or on foot.  For walkers it is an ideal location to just step outside your front door and begin your mountain excursion for the day.  If you want access to shops or restaurants then Le Blanchot is a 10 minute stroll and Méribel Village a 30 minute walk.  The secluded sunny terrace with its woodfired Dutch hot-tub is the perfect setting to laze away the day.  The chalet gets the sun all day long and your party will have complete privacy, except for  maybe the occasional mountain creature.

You maybe forgiven for thinking that such a unique refuge would provide only basic accommodation, nothing could be further from the truth. Le Plaigny has just been converted and provides luxury stays with three double or twin rooms in the main chalet along with an open plan mezzanine on the top floor with a double bed plus four singles.  There is also a separate annexe offering another double bedroom. The chalet has been completed to an exceptionally high standard with high quality modern bathrooms and fully fitted kitchen with all the necessary appliances to enjoy a self-catered holiday for a family or group of friends. There is also full wi-fi access so that you can keep in touch with the outside world.

The main chalet entrance leads into a spacious reception hall with a table and six chairs, an ideal space for a quiet coffee or for serving children’s meals or enjoying creative play. On the ground floor, there are three comfortable double bedrooms, two of which are en-suite and the third bedroom has a vanity unit and then a separate bathroom with loo, washbasin bath and shower. A staircase leads up to the beautiful bright open plan living/dining area and well-equiped kitchen with all the appliances needed to enjoy a comfortable self-catered holiday.  There is a large open fire with a good store of logs should the weather turn colder.  From the living area doors take you out to a large sunny terrace with outdoor furniture and the woodfired Dutch hot-tub. This is the perfect place to dine, relax and take in the stunning mountain scenery.  On the top floor of the chalet is a really flexible sleeping area with a double bed and then four singles.  This bedroom would be perfect for a family group or close friends. Just a few steps from the main chalet is a really comfortable annexe with full power a double bed and wi-fi.  Any guests sleeping in the annexe would need to make use of the bathroom facilities in the main property.

Chalet Le Plaigny has been sympathetically remodelled with stunning craftsmanship to create the warm wooden interiors which echo the building’s heritage and transformation from a rustic farmhouse to a luxury refuge sleeping up to 12 people.

Chalet Amanjena

Chalet Amanjena has a large terrace with stunning views across the valley to the pistes beyond.  The large hot tub on the deck is the perfect place to finish your day.  The chalet also benefits from a sauna and spacious boot room on the ground floor.

The property is in a very peaceful location, but also close to Méribel town centre which is just a few minutes walk away if you prefer to stretch your legs rather than use the Meriski driving service.  Amanjena is also very close to the other Meriski chalets, Phoebe and Le Pousse Caillou, if you have a larger group that wanted chalets nearby.

The stylish open plan living area with a large fireplace flows through to a spacious dining area with large sliding doors to access the terrace which has the hot tub for relaxing after your days skiing soaking up the views with a glass of bubbles in hand. There is outside seating available too for when the sun is soaking the terrace in glorious afternoon rays. Not a bad spot to catch the sunset too.

Internally there are six very comfortable and homely en-suite bedrooms split across two floors. On the first floor, off from the living and dining area, you’ll find two bedrooms, one of which is a kingsize double and the other can be either a super king or twin. Making your way upstairs you’ll discover the other four bedrooms. Bedrooms 3 & 6 have access to their own top floor balconies which offer panoramic views of the mountains. Bedroom 5 on this floor is a fixed kingsize double, the rest can be made up as a super king or with twin beds as required.  All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with a bathtub and handheld shower.

The word Amanjena means “peaceful paradise”, which we think describes this beautiful chalet perfectly.

Chalet Bergeronnette

We are very excited to introduce Chalet Bergeronnette to the Meriski collection.  This is a stunning, newly finished 7-bedroom chalet located in the small hamlet of Nantgerel, a four-minute drive from the centre of Méribel.  The closest lift is Le Raffort which takes you directly to the centre of Méribel from where you can connect to all lifts leaving from La Chaudanne. It is only a short stroll to the picturesque village of Le Raffort which boasts one of the area’s most sought after restaurants, L’Atelier, or the authentic local bar and restaurant, Martagon.

Chalet Bergeronnette boasts beautiful views across the valley to La Gittaz, Méribel Village and beyond.  The contemporary design incorporates vaulted ceilings in the living area and a feature fireplace that nicely separates the dining space. This is the perfect property for large groups of friends or a few families to take over. All seven bedrooms are en-suite, and some have private terraces. Most of the beds can be made up as twins or doubles which make this a very versatile option for groups. Outside on the spacious terrace is a large jacuzzi, just the spot to soak aching muscles with a glass of something fizzy at the end of the day. The chalet also has a spacious sauna.

Upon entry to the chalet on the ground floor you will find two bedrooms, these are side by side each their with own en-suite. The bed configuration throughout this chalet can be Doubles or Twins, except for bedroom 5 on the second floor, south wing.

As you make your way upstairs to the first floor, you’ll find that access to the other 5 bedrooms splits to either the North or South wings. In the south wing off from the living room, you shall find a corridor leading through to our third bedroom and a set of stairs. The bedroom off to the right is a twin/double which comes with an en-suite and a balcony looking across the valley towards La Gittaz. Within the south wing of the chalet, the stairs lead up to bedroom 4 & 5. Bedroom 5 is our fixed double with ensuite and bedroom 4 contains twin/double bed with en-suite and balcony.

In the north wing, the access here is by continuing up the central staircase. Upon reaching the second floor you’ll find bedrooms 6 & 7 next door to each other. Both twins/doubles with en-suite. The only difference here is that bedroom 6 has the double doors leading onto the balcony looking out across the valley towards La Gittaz which is east.

Bedrooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are all east facing perfect for capturing the morning rays with views across the valley.
